Who we are

SolvedPaper (solvedpaper.in) is a free study website for Indian competitive exams. In this policy "SolvedPaper", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs the site.

SolvedPaper is free and non-commercial. There are no payments, no ads, and nothing is sold.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The short version

• You can read papers and take a mock without an account.
• If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email address and profile picture. Never your password.
• We use your data only to run the site. We do not sell or rent it.
• You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it at any time.

What we collect

• Browsing: our hosting provider records technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time) to keep the site secure and working.
• Mock exams without signing in: your answers are saved only in your own browser, on your device. They are not sent to us.
• Sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, shared by Google when you choose to sign in.
• Saved attempts (signed in): your answers, time per question, score, and the date.
• Notify me: your email address or account, and which exam you want to hear about.
• Report a mistake: the question, your note, and your account if you are signed in.

How we use it

• To run the site: sign you in, save your attempts and show your scores.
• To send the one email you asked for when an exam goes live. No newsletters or marketing unless you ask for them.
• To fix mistakes you report.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only what the site needs to work:

• A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in.
• Browser storage keeps your mock answers safe if the page reloads.

We do not use tracking cookies.

You can clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you do, you will be signed out and any unsaved mock answers will be lost.

Where your data is stored

Only the services that run the site see your data, and only what each needs:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in service. Stores accounts and saved attempts on servers in the South Asia (Mumbai) region.
• Vercel: hosts the website and keeps technical logs.
• Google: provides the Sign in with Google button.

We may also share data if the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or government authority.

How long we keep it

• Your account and saved attempts: until you delete your account or ask us to.
• Notify me requests: until we send the email for that exam, then deleted.
• Mistake reports: until the mistake is fixed, then kept without your account details.
• Technical logs: for the period our hosting provider keeps them.

Your rights

Under Indian law you can:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete your account and all your attempts.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything done before.
• Nominate someone to act for you if you die or are unable to.
• Complain to us (below), and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Many students preparing for exams like NDA are under 18. You do not need an account to read papers or take a mock.

If you are under 18, please sign in only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, and each person's saved data is locked so only they can read it. No system is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Grievances

Questions or complaints about your data: solvedpaperindia@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the site ever changes how it uses your data, we will update this page before the change happens.
