  4. (d) All the four

Solution.

Answer: (c) Only three

  1. Items I, II and IV are correct: the Non-Cooperation Programme adopted by the Congress in 1920 included the boycott of law-courts and foreign cloth, strict observance of non-violence (ahimsa), and the establishment of national schools and arbitration Panchayats for settling disputes.
  2. Item III is incorrect: the programme called for the complete surrender and renunciation of British titles and honorary offices, not retaining them while merely refraining from public use.
