  1. (a) Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand are member-states of BIMSTEC.Correct answer
  2. (b) Its secretariat is located in Dhaka.
  3. (c) India is the lead country of its security sector.
  4. (d) Thailand is the lead country of its connectivity sector.

Solution.

Answer: (a) Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand are member-states of BIMSTEC.

  1. Pakistan is not a BIMSTEC member.
  2. The seven members are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
  3. Its Secretariat is in Dhaka; India leads the security sector and Thailand the connectivity sector under the relevant sector structure.
